Firefighters Pipes and Drums
Connecticut Firefighters Pipes and Drums, Inc. is
a not-for-profit incorporated fraternal organization, founded in November
of 1992 for the purpose of maintaining and furthering the tradition
of pipes and drums in the fire service. The band is dedicated to the
Connecticut Fire Service as a ceremonial band performing at 'Line of
Duty' firefighter's funerals, memorial services, and other fire service
related events.

The Federal City Brass Band, located in Baltimore,
Maryland, performs on original instruments of the mid-19th century.

Volunteer Infantry Band
The band represents the typical regimental (brigade)
brass band of the Civil War period with authentic music.
Fifth Michigan Regiment
Band
The band's repertoire of the 1860s includes marches,
polkas, schottisches, waltzes and songs arranged for the group by Lt.
Col. Guy Smith, Conductor. Playing on antique and replica Civil War
instruments, they perform at reenactments, concerts, parades, festival
and other special events.
42nd Royal Highlanders
The 42nd Royal Highlanders recreates the 42nd Highlanders
of the late 18th century, with pipes, fifes and rope-tension drums.

Band of the 37th Georgia Volunteer Infantry
The 37th GVI's military brass band, fife & drum
corps and songsters have appeared in two award-winning movies (Glory
and The Rose & the Jackal) and four video documentaries.

Carolina String Band
One of the most active and popular Civil War camp
bands in America with three albums to their credit. Their music is boisterous
and high spirited, evoking the days when soldiers entertained their
comrades around the campfire with the tunes of minstrel composers like
Dan Emmett and Stephen Foster.

website. The fife-and-drum-band is about 125 years old and is hosted
by their local fire department. They are still playing the old kind
of music (but including some more modern and harmonic things, but just
with flutes and drums).

Pipes and Drums
Taggart Pipes and Drums is a non-profit organization
founded in 1990 and is based out of Deep River, Connecticut. Under the
leadership of Pipe Major George W. Martin, the corps is dedicated to
promoting all phases of Celtic culture and music by participating in
various events state wide including the Deep River Ancient Muster.
