Westbrook
Drum Corps

Westbrook, CT

Since 1910, the Westbrook Drum Corps has appeared at parades, musters, historical pageants and other events in Connecticut, New England and beyond. Hardly a St. Patrick's Day parade has been held in Boston or New York City that has not featured an appearance by this corps. Their uniform is in the continental style and includes the traditional regimental coat and three-cornered hat. Members play six-hole wooden fifes and rope-tension field drums that are handmade by local craftsmen. The corps is constantly expanding its Ancient-style repertory of historic, patriotic, and contemporary music with the help of fife instructor Bill Hart (Ameri-Clique) and drum instructor George Chapman (long-time instructor for the Nutmeg Volunteers).

Westbrook Drum Corps is a member in good standing of The Company of Fifers & Drummers, and several of its members serve on various boards and committees. Westbrook members are pleased to host their drum corps friends at their annual muster held on the fourth Saturday of August.

Newcomers are always welcome (no experience necessary!). We would be pleased to add your event to our upcoming schedule.
